Site tranformation manager

The overall responsibility of this role is the management and development of projects in support of Site Transformation activities in Nitra and the co-ordination of spend associated with these projects. This role will focus primarily on future site strategy, utilising the JLR cycle plan and developing vehicle line implementation plans. These will detail what vehicles will be built where across the JLR sites. These plans will include every aspect of the manufacturing process from enabling works, building activity, facility installations, logistics requirements and site co-ordination then ensuring that all costs and timings are generated and fed into the cycle plan, thus ensuring a robust manufacturing plan that allows the cycle plan to be delivered. Co-ordination of all relevant departments to ensure a comprehensive and detailed plan is delivered is key.

Main responsibilities:

• Creation of the Nitra Manufacturing Site Strategy and Transformation plan.
• Leadership of the Nitra site transformation team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Liaison across various internal departments to ensure all interests are represented and bought into.
• Development of cross functional implementation plans to support the JLR cycle plan
• Generation of Capital and revenue investment requirements in support of the annual Business Plan.
• Attendance and presentations at Board level Committees.
• Organise and run site strategy meetings for Nitra plant ensuring tactical actions do not compromise the overall strategy
• Organisation of Senior site strategy meetings
• Project management other special projects when required.
• Investigation of strategic and tactical studies in line with cycle plan activities and the requirements of the business.

• It is expected that the successful candidate will be either an existing LL6 manager seeking a development role to broaden their experience or a D grade candidate with appropriate experience & skills.
• A creative, versatile and open-minded approach to issues is required.
• Applicants should have well established experience of facilities/construction project management and automotive manufacturing engineering.
• Prior exposure to commercial practices is essential.
• Applicants should be assertive and able to demonstrate confident negotiation, communication & analytical skills, especially at senior levels, together with full understanding of the business environment.
• The successful candidates will be expected to take a leading role in Site Strategy and International Manufacturing forums representing the interests of manufacturing whilst balancing the requirements for business profitability.
