Vehicle Product Manager

The primary responsibility of the PVT Product Manager is to provide strong leadership to a number of cross functional departments in order to provide the drive to enhance product quality in order to achieve the vehicle quality targets.
Ensure all necessary engineering changes to the product & processes are approved by Core CoC Managers in a timely manner and then handle the swift & robust implementation to the assembly line of those changes
Manage all elements of the VRT / Sub-system process, incorporating Manufacturing, Service & Plant Quality ensuring the global PVT systems and procedures are fully embedded and adhered to.
Assist the PVT Manager with the recruitment and training of a new team in a new Plant, working with the Sister Plant team to ensure Corporate processes are followed and the 2 teams have a detailed understanding of each other’s work and the full portfolio or related products.
Ensure all customer inputs have a balanced focus with a Customer First mind set (Warranty data, AA Roadside Assistance, FTT, PCPA etc.) with particular focus on the resolution of key customer issues. (e.g. Quick Service Fix's and Fields Service Actions)
Stand in for the PVT Manager and report vehicle line progress to regular senior reviews. (PQRs, DQRs and VLQRs)
In conjunction with NMP and the PVT Manager ensure seamless programme transitions from Launch into PVT.
Ensure lessons learned are fed back into the upstream business for inclusion in new standards and to be incorporated in new models already in process.
Ensure that all affected production sites are accommodated in all engineering changes
Support all areas of the business where necessary involving current car quality expertise and direction
