PVT Manager

This is the opportunity in this role.
This position is for a manufacturing plant based PVT supervisor within the Body Engineering Quality team. In the PVT role you will be required to interface with both internal and external (to Body Engineering) customers and respond to quality metrics such as warranty repairs, customer surveys, FTT and WCPA. As well as receive and take responsibility for new models and MY changes which are delivered by the wider team.

Customer and internal issues are required to be analysed, scoped, prioritised and contained in production. The delivery of permanent corrective actions requiring engineering change should be developed with core engineering and delivered into production in order to improve product quality in line with the vehicle line targets and customer expectations. You will use, coach and mentor the use of structured problem solving. The role requires the ability to work with and develop close relationships within cross functional teams that include Manufacturing, PD, Service, STA, Plant Quality and the Supplier base.

The role will include a period of training in the UK.
You will need to track quality performance via a scorecard and be able to work cross functionally to drive teams to achieve clear objectives.

All aspects of people management and development within the team, including recruitment
Ability to communicate effectively, and build & nurture relationships across all aspects of the business at all Levels
Develop and deliver robust quality sufficiency plans to continuously improve quality. This will involve understanding key projects and delivering containments and corrective actions for external in internal quality issues as identified from key metrics including Warranty, Roadside Assistance and customer surveys.
Experience in data analysis, statistical techniques & problem solving, preferably Black Belt trained, but appropriate training will be offered to the suitable candidate.
Lead cross functional complex work-streams solutions to customer and internal issues.
A good level of people development, motivational encouragement and team management skill or experience
Lead presentations as required to forums with varied levels of escalation up to and including director level.
Support activities to engage with core product development body engineering teams.
Implement alerts, in process containments & rework instructions as required to support product launch and production.
Support of launch activities during "in cycle" product model year changes and new models to ensure continuity of product knowledge and quality from the first customer car. Support problem solving & issue identification during pre-production builds
