Job Description

Industrial Material Leader is responsible for the managing and ensuring of processes regarding supply chain of non industrial material to the plant through 3rd party. He is responsible for managing KPI’s, set up of the system requirement, negotiation and process adjustments to fulfil the customer needs.

- Responsible for the introduction of new parts at own plant via single item and multi item system requests , and via mass upload requests
- Co-operating with UK team to monitor and ensuring that the latest version is available for the plant team
- Responsible for working with other material leaders on parts introductions
- Responsible for day to day management and monitoring of the supplier performance in terms on Manpower requirements and other agreed KPI's
- Responsible for managing P2P orders against supplier for labour / parts / gas
- Responsible for drop zone set up and reviews
- Reporting for obsolescence identification and disposal
- Responsible for KPI’s, fulfilment of legislation requirements, implementation of company standards and fulfilment of company objectives
- Responsible for identifying and implementing continuous improvement activities on site
- Responsible for addressing and clarifying operational concerns and issues
- Responsible for ensuring key contractual points are fully adhered to by both parties ( JLR &supplier )
- Responsible for tracking new item request and feedback to requester

Prerequisites

 Min. 3 years of experience in Automotive industry
 Good knowledge of manufacturing and logistics processes
 Negotiation skills regarding contracting and purchasing
 Experience in logistic operation
 Start up experience
 Good knowledge in Lean Manufacturing and Lean Logistics
 Ability to work under pressure and with cross functional team. The ability to work in a fast paced environment and to strict deadlines.
 Ability to work independently, applying common processes and standards. Task orientation. Self-starter attitude and a continuous improvement mind set.
 Good time management skills with the ability to set goals / priorities are required.
 SAP knowledge
 To make correct decisions quickly, sometimes in demanding situations.
 Knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience in Excel including data manipulation and presentation.
 Attention to detail essential.
 Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
 Demonstrate high levels of motivation and resourcefulness, able to drive processes and deliverables directly from Policy Deployment.
