Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are expanding our local customer dedicated Service Desk team as a part of our DCIM department and seeking an IT Support Specialist. This role can be performed from 90%+ homeoffice after trial period.

As our new colleague you will be participating in enterprise-level operations in the multinational environment, providing first-level technical support on client products and services and being responsible for:

• Solving customer technical requests via phone, e-mail and/or specialized tools
• Analyzing, identifying and evaluating the cause of an issue, processing and solving of customer requests and recommending a solution within the defined area (error processing, order processing and user assistance)
• Forwarding customer requests to the responsible units, engaging necessary support staff to resolve escalations, tracking the respective process if necessary
• Communicating with the (local/remote) specialist teams in the area to avoid disruptions
• Monitoring of the defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Collecting and updating of existing documentation, participating in the creation of new documentation
• Participation in the further development or introduction of processes, tools, services and products
• General ticket management

Expected traveling: approx. 1x per quarter for 1-2 weeks in Germany, or less.

Personality requirements and skills

• Completed professional education, ideally with a focus on IT support
• Alternatively, comparable completed professional education and subsequent professional experience
• Well-founded knowledge of using the Microsoft Office product range (pronounced IT affinity is an advantage)
• Strong team spirit, precise and reliable way of working, high solution orientation
• Personal responsibility, initiative and basic analytical skills
• Excellent customer and service focus, strong communication skills even under increased stress, especially in customer communication
• Fluency in spoken and written German
• Good command of spoken and written English
