Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Configuration and implementation of Microsoft-based server operating systems, databases and applications, as well as cloud solutions (including Exchange/SQL/SharePoint/Office365) in current versions
• Supervision and monitoring of these systems and troubleshooting in operation
• Advise customers on technical or functional inquiries and problems
• Creation and maintenance of the system documentation
• Optimize the availability, security and performance of the systems
• Problem analysis of the managed systems and elaboration of solutions to improve the operational performance
• Implementation and documentation of releases
• On-call duty (24/7) and monthly inspection windows on weekends

University degree with a technical focus. Alternative successful completion of a comparable vocational training with several years of professional experience in the above-mentioned area of responsibility

Personality requirements and skills

• Practical experience in the administration of Microsoft-based server and database systems
• At least 3 years' professional experience are needed
• Administration of virtual infrastructures (VMWare or Microsoft Hyper-V based)
• Knowledge of cloud-based Microsoft solutions (IaaS, PaaS) is an advantage
• Microsoft certifications (MCSE, MCSA) are an advantage
• Excellent customer and service focus as well as team skills
• Good German and/or English skills
• Safe to handle ITIL service processes
• Self-contained and well-structured way of working
