Job description, responsibilities and duties
PURPOSE
You will be a member of the IQVIA financial shared services center in Bratislava Slovakia, which is an integral part of our global financial shared services network.
On this position, you will be responsible for the US GAAP accounting and reporting requirements for the Company’s legal entities in a number of countries. This will include mainly bank accounting duties to ensure the entities books are complete and accurate and are reported to the US parent company in a timely fashion each month. The primary focus will be to ensure strict adherence to US GAAP, internal financial policies, and ensure compliance with IQVIA Financial Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
RESPONSIBILITIES
•Support month end process within deadlines and instructions.
•Assist local accountants in resolving intercompany discrepancies.
•Reconcile Company’s bank accounts on monthly basis
•Utilize automation tools and cash management modules to identify and resolve any unmatched items on bank reconciliation
•Book regular monthly journals and ad hoc adjustments as required
•Prepare or review accounts reconciliations on timely basis in accordance with Group internal control guidelines.
•Ensure that accounting records are thoroughly maintained in preparation for independent audits.
•Provide full audit support during annual financial audits
•Participate in automation projects or initiatives
•Ensure appropriate communication with all business partners and support business partners in financial decisions, if required.
•Maintain and improve technical accounting skills.
•Perform other duties as assigned.

•General Ledger Accounting background preferably with Finance Shared Service. Intercompany or bank accounting experience is preferred.

•Knowledge of Peoplesoft and SAP ERP Softwares is a plus.
•Experience with BlackLine tool is a plus.
•Technical accounting skills.
•Good analytical and numeracy skills.
•Ability to identify financial issues and execute mitigating actions.
•Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple work requirements to meet deadlines.
