Personality requirements and skills
You'll be working on an MVP based on electron (gui/DE interaction) and vanilla nodejs. We use S3 and cacache as the caching layer. Indexes/metadata are stored in LevelDB/RocksDB with heavy use of roaring bitmaps. Some bloom filters and NNS magic included as well.
As a backend developer you must have:
- Practical knowledge / functional understanding of common algorithms and data structures
- Practical knowledge of node.js net module and/or experience with zeromq
Optional/Nice to have:
- Production experience with LevelDB/RocksDB
- Experience with compressed bitmap indexes (EWAH/Roaring)
- Experience writing native C/C++ modules (Node-API)
- General overview of ML algorithms
- Experience with Go or Rust
