Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Under the overall supervision of the Emergency Coordinator and the direct supervision of the Senior Programme Assistant, the incumbent will be responsible for:

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Facilitate the implementation of the project by collecting and disseminating necessary information related to the organization and project implementation activities.
2. Keep the Senior Project Assistant informed of all stages of project implementation.
3. Coordinate and facilitate return of relevant victims of trafficking from destination countries.
4. Coordinate the reintegration of project beneficiaries, which includes inter alia the following tasks:
• Maintain direct contact with beneficiaries by regularly visiting them at their place of residence.
• Identify the beneficiaries ' individual needs, assist them in the preparation of a reintegration plan, conduct monitoring interviews, assists victims in accessing victim support and other services.
• Assist in the scheduling and use of reintegration grant for beneficiaries and assists in the procurement of goods and services covered by the reintegration support.
• Keep records of all information related to the return and reintegration process (procurement, services used etc.) for documentation/clarification requests.
5. Facilitate coordination with partner organizations operating shelters/temporary housing. Assist in reintegration process and ensures administration and that the necessary information is obtained from the organizations.
6. Participate in the development of the follow-up system and with the development of the monitoring forms.
7. Conduct quarterly monitoring interviews as well as a final interview with beneficiaries. Follow-up on cases on a quarterly basis.
8. Participate in official meetings and travelling according to the project’s requirements.
9. Participate in the project events such as study visits, online workshop for consular officers, expert meetings with relevant governmental and non-governmental actors in the field of counter-trafficking.
10. Assist with the preparation and dissemination of reports on the study visits, on expert meetings, online workshop and of the study on the pilot program (best practices, lessons learned, recommendations…etc)
11. Assist the supervisor in monitoring the project implementation activities according to plan.
12. Provide data and assist with the drafting of project progress reports and final report, complying with the reporting requirements of the project.
13. Assist with the preparation of external and internal audits related to the project.
14. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Employee perks, benefits

Special Short-Term Ungraded Contract, 6 months with possibility of extension.
Salary depends on the candidates profile, experience and qualifications with an estimated range of all inclusive fee 1,586 EUR - 1,937 EUR per month.
Income is exempted from taxation.
6 weeks of paid annual leave per year (2.5 days per completed month of service).
24 days of paid sick leave per year (2 days per completed month of service).
Special medical insurance.

Personality requirements and skills

Education
• High school diploma or equivalent required with at least 4 years of relevant professional experience, or;
• Bachelor degree in Social Work, Social Pedagogy, Pedagogy, Psychology, Sociology and a related field with two years of relevant professional experience
Experience
• Knowledge of social and development issues
• Experience in the field of counter-trafficking
• Experience in working with vulnerable groups, especially with -victims of trafficking is a distinct advantage
• Previous work experience with national, regional or international public bodies would be an advantage;
• Strong organisational skills including experience contributing to the management of projects is an advantage

Skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint (e.g. Word, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Languages
Fluency in English and Slovak is required. Working knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian is highly desired. Fluency in other official IOM languages (Spanish, French) is advantageous.
