Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in the Slovak Republic is seeking for a candidate for the position of the Project Activities Assistant. The activities will be conducted in the framework of the European Migration Network (EMN) project implemented by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) and co-funded by the European Union. GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Under the overall guidance of the Head of Office (HoO) in Bratislava and the EMN coordinator the successful candidate will be assisting in the implementation of all project activities related to the European Migration Network. Specifically, s/he will:

1. Perform general office maintenance tasks according to the IOM's and donor´s administrative rules and practices including correspondence, market surveys, logistics, procurement and other.
2. Prepare orders (bids analyses) and track invoices.
3. Assist with the implementation of project activities, namely: organization and logistics (including caterings) of events, conferences, workshops, educational seminar and others. Ensuring their timely and agreed delivery during the events.
4. Manage incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
5. Monitoring and ordering of stationary and other supplies.
6. Gather and archive data, information and supporting documentation necessary for the project implementation.
7. Communicate with the number of (inter)national stakeholders and service suppliers.
8. Actively participate in the meetings of the project team as well as attend official meetings and appointments if needed.
9. Draft minutes.
10. Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of the project as well as in the preparation of periodic and final reports on EMN activities.
11. Maintain and extend the database of contacts relevant for EMN activities.
12. Assist in maintaining media monitoring database.
13. In cooperation with other members of the project team contribute to the development of new ideas and activities within the project.
14. Assist with translations, and/or acts as interpreter/translator (Slovak-English, English-Slovak).
15. Perform other duties assigned by the Head of Office/Coordinator of the EMN activities.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
• Completed Master’s or Bachelor's degree from an accredited academic institution preferably in Economics
• A minimum of 3 years experience in working in office environment and carrying out administrative, procurement and organizational tasks, including organization of different kinds of events (e.g. conferences, seminars etc.)
• Experience in administration and financial reporting of EU or other donor´s funded projects
• Excellent Command of MS Office
• Excellent administrative and organizational skills;
• Experience with IOM's administrative and financial rules and practices – an asset
• Driving licence B
