Job description, responsibilities and duties
We are looking for an enthusiastic student (junior Linux administrator) who enjoys actively participating in creation and improvement of our DevOps concepts and likes to implement them. If you like to work with the cloud, deployment automation, and other experts in their fields, this position is likely for you!
About the Engineering team
Our Engineering team consists of a small number of experts with a large impact on all the company's products. Your work will contribute to making life of product teams easier and ensure all deployments are automated, up to date, and secure. Our product teams need your help when creating, maintaining, and improving their automation processes and deployments in the cloud as well as on-premise.
Innovatrics products are based on biometric technology and help people more easily verify their identities, for example at online banks or elections, improve the work of investigators, make it easier to move around the building, etc.
What would you do?
- Automate deployment processes with GitLab, Docker, and Hashicorp infrastructure and deployment automation products like Terraform, Nomad, Vault, Consul
- Create PoCs and demos of new features of infrastructure and deployment automation products and help implement ideas of our product teams
- Help create and maintain cloud environments in AWS, as well as local environments in local cloud
- Help maintain and improve monitoring of environments (Prometheus, Jaeger, Grafana, TimescaleDB)
- Communicate and closely cooperate with our DevOps expert and product teams
- Be part of the internal Innovatrics DevOps community and take part of architectural discussions
- Consult and create new concepts which might help developers automate/simplify processes
- Implement and improve agreed security concepts on an infrastructural level

- Be a university student in the field of IT
- Experience with Linux and network administration and configuring HW infrastructure
- Good understanding of configuration files, scripting, and automation philosophy
- Understanding of load balancing and fault tolerance principles
- Agile mindset and strong enthusiasm for DevOps
- Ability to work in a team, good communication skills
- Good English language knowledge (at least passive)
