Job description, responsibilities and duties
Our engineering department is looking for a developer with a focus on test automation to join our product development team. The team is working on the most complex biometric (fingerprint, face, iris) product used in national-scale projects. If you like new technologies and are motivated by challenges, join our team of experts who share a passion for technologies and biometry.
About the product
ABIS – Automated Biometrics Identification System - is a biometric identity management system supporting fingerprint, iris and facial recognition. With our ABIS modules our clients can easily build an identity management solution tailored to their needs. From identifying people on crime scenes to voter registrations, our ABIS covers a whole scale of use cases.
As a QA Engineer at Innovatrics your daily agenda will contain:
- Marginal manual testing of product (to learn product functionalities)
- Development and maintenance of automated end-to-end tests and performance tests
- Creation, maintenance and automation of test cases
- Coordination with product team members to execute and document test activities
- Identification and triage of issues and defects
- The proposition of solutions or workarounds for identified issues and defects
- Maintenance of existing test environment, identification and addressing of existing areas of automation which require improvements
- Preparation of required reporting documentation for the respective testing activities
- Continual improvement in technologies and biometric domain knowledge

- Solid knowledge of Java programming language
- Experience with automated testing (Selenium/Cypress)
- Experience with Selenium framework based on Java
- Experience with any Git system
- Knowledge of Unix/Linux systems, shell script, bash
- Familiarity with SQL
- Familiarity with communication protocols (REST, MQ, GraphQL...)
- Active knowledge of English language
- Self-organized and well-structured thinking
- Patience and thoroughness, focus on detail
- Willing to learn new technologies
- Friendly approach and willingness to help others, we are looking for a team person
- Advantage: familiarity with other testing frameworks like Cypress, experience with deploy process
- Advantage: experience with BitBucket, JIRA and Confluence
- Experience with automated testing (Selenium/Cypress)
