About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Within our Super Circle Operational Controls, teams of experts are responsible for ensuring ING is in control of our products, services, and day to day operations.

You will lead our team of experts, global ING framework policy champions and business control specialists in KYC and TAX area, set the standards for their expertise area and take responsibility for developing, innovating and safeguarding knowledge in the field of expertise. You will act as an authority in the field of business risk and control function to ensure that ING's activities and the integrity of products, services and employees are in line with the regulatory requirements and run smoothly in such a way that it can be demonstrated to the regulators and the outside world.

You act as ING Global KYC Policy Champion responsible for:

  • Framework implementation in all ING locations
  • Control monitoring and framework evaluations across all locations in scope
  • Risk Assessments
  • Periodic analysis of all open issues within the given framework, initiation update of frameworks if applicable and reporting to stakeholders

As part of your job, you are expected to create and maintain a structural and positive relationships with the business (SPOC) and 2nd line of defense (compliance).

You will possess adequate knowledge of the business (organizational, process, people) and the corresponding value chain and you are up to date with business developments with NFR impact.

Requirements:

KYC expertise and Risk management:
  • Understanding purpose of KYC processes
  • Knowledge of basic regulatory landscape
  • Understanding of risk-based approach and essential risk terms (risk – control objective- control, risk assessment, risk response, risk appetite, compliance, non-financial risk vs. financial risk, etc.)
  • Ability to perform risk assessments and gap analyses

Other competencies:
  • Ability to advise on correct interpretation of policy requirements
  • Ability to assess operational requirements and compliancy with policy requirements
  • Ability to facilitate independent assessment, or perform such assessment
  • Analysis of as-is vs to-be in context of accepted risk and requirements
  • Talent development and performance management of expertise teams
