About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for an eager and energetic finance professional, who can act as a financial controller and strategic financial business partner for the organization and take the lead in maintaining and improvement of financial control environment. In your role you will be also responsible for developing finance advisory capabilities within finance team providing finance advice to the senior ING Hubs Slovakia management.

We would be happy to talk to a junior candidate in this field, who can prove mature personality, show her/his talent and as well as we can talk to an experienced person in financial controlling.


Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role


  • Financial accounting and Management accounting
  • Financial and management reporting, analytical reviews, trends and deviation comments, ad-hoc analysis reviews
  • Participation in Forecast and Dynamic Plan preparation and submission processes
  • Regular communication with central finance team/counterpart’s controllers
  • Cooperation within Finance department and other ING Hubs Slovakia departments in order to improve processes and find the best solution
  • Participation in Finance operational model development and improvement
  • Regular Financial policies and procedures revision
  • Regular revision and improvement of financial control framework, Key Controls Testing
  • Review, improvement and development of internal financial policies and procedures based on Group minimum standards
  • Leading/participation in new software implementation projects

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)
Postgraduate (Doctorate)

English - Advanced (C1)

Personality requirements and skills

  • Experience: at least 3 years in financial controlling
  • General/practical knowledge of finance (MA & FA)
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Advanced working command of written and spoken English
  • Knowledge in local GAAP standards
  • Power BI knowledge is a plus
  • ABC/Product costing knowledge is a plus
  • Specific MA costing/pricing tools knowledge is a plus
