About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

In your role as consultant you will support and challenge the business process owner (BPO) in defining its IAM implementation roadmap and its local IAM Model (Identity map; Access management), which should be fully aligned with the global IAM TOM. In addition, you are track the timely progress of the roadmap and track the effective technical implementation of the BPO’s activities. You will also act as a catalyst between Business Process Owners and IT experts to achieve defined IAM objectives and specific goals.

Your main tasks:


You drive the discussion on the organizational end state of each domain / country, continuously improving and extending the design of the model and aligning it with and communicating it to all stakeholders.

You will be:
  • Trusted partner and point of contact for all Retail Banking Operations / Wholesale Baking Operations or Information Technology functions regarding the definition and alignment of the IAM Model to their organizational models.
  • Responsible for the content and quality of the IAM Model and the implementation of these models into the WB / RB or IT organization.
  • Responsible for communicating the IAM Model to senior stakeholders (both in the central organization and in the countries).
  • Act as the driver to solve the gaps between the IAM Framework and the capabilities yet to be developed, and take responsibility in solving IAM Model related issues.

Personality requirements and skills

  • (international) experience in complex organizations and a bird's eye view and knowledge of ING's business and IT processes, risks and associated controls
  • experience in successfully applying quality management, process improvement, and problem-solving tools and methodologies
  • preferably has experience in model/design frameworks
  • knowledge on IAM and creating a vision on it
  • fluent in English (both writing and speaking)
