About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

At the Global Alert Handling department we deal with transactions screening and work as the first line of defense when helping the bank prevent money laundering or financing any illegal business. We are looking for a Subject Matter Expert with strong analytical and coordinating skills who would be a good fit into our team. Having the knowledge and experiences, you will act as the “go to” person within the department. You will be in touch with many colleagues from different disciplines and backgrounds ensuring that the deliverables will meet the needs of the stakeholders, legislation, policies, standards, and best practices.

As a Subject Matter Expert you will:
  • Bring expertise and provide support to the transaction and name screening area of the business,
  • Perform and deliver various tasks and handle complex processes in the environment of a high level of complexity,
  • Be familiar with E2E aspects of the screening processes, products, operating standards and procedures, company culture and client requirements,
  • Support the definition and help develop screening processes and policies, supply business rules and procedures, monitor their implementation and communicate the contexts in which the rules, processes and polices are applied,
  • Learn the organization's key drivers, industry developments, and trends to apply the knowledge of business and the marketplace to advance the organization's goals,
  • Integrate various inputs, decision criteria, and trade-offs to make effective decisions,
  • Take ownership of risk management and follow the appropriate procedures to assess and mitigate financial risk and non-financial risk in order to protect the organization from undue risks,
  • Help senior colleagues manage internal customer relationships,
  • Identify shortcomings in the processes, systems and procedures and develop ad hoc solutions to problems within an assigned unit or discipline,
  • Gather and analyze data and relevant metrics to identify, track and report key trends in activities or transactions that indicate high risk of fraud,
  • Edit document in line with organizational style guidelines and prepare information for publication,
  • Know the most effective and efficient processes to get things done with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals.

  • University degree,
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken,
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in the financial services industry/shared service centre,
  • Have experiences with work in a multi-national, complex and dynamic organization,
  • Good communication, networking and coordinating skills.
