About the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

IBSS Bratislava (ING Bank Shared Services Bratislava) is a servicing hub providing transactional & banking operations services for ING wholesale & retail branches worldwide. These are exciting times for us as we are now also starting to offer more and more complex knowledge work in design and consultancy roles and are currently expanding our risk management capabilities. We are part of the IBSS organization which consists of servicing hubs around the globe.

In this position you will be working within the 1st Line of Defence (LoD) and will help ensure that ING stays in control of its 1st LoD risk management activities. Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the Policy Champion for ING minimum standards (Proxies, Whistleblower)
  • Create summary of the Policy Minimum Standard (MS), including purpose, scope, roles and responsibilities
  • Create test plans for applicable controls and explain / document evidence required for key control testing
  • Act as the single-point-of-contact for all questions, observations, feedback and build expertise around the related policy/MS
  • Training & Awareness activities related to the policy/MS
  • Assess global/bank-wide vs local controls & advise on control ownership
  • Identify the possibility of standardization and/or centralization of processes and controls
  • Advise on risk assessment implementation/gap analysis with stakeholders, monitor progress & implementation and agree on communication & handover moments
  • Stakeholder Management: a) identify stakeholders and determine communication plan; b) regular update of stakeholder regarding risk and control activities, upcoming changes, expectations and progress

Personality requirements and skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in risk management, compliance or internal controls setting
  • Knowledge of risk assessments, control implementation & control testing
  • Analytical mindset and problem-solving aptitude
  • Strong communication and influence skills and an ability to effectively interact across all levels of the organization
  • A flexible mindset and personality with capabilities to optimally function in an Agile environment
  • Excellent level of English
  • Master’s degree or equivalent
