Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are looking for someone who is a good fit with our existing IT team, who has excellent written and verbal communication skills and who can work both as part of a team or independently.

Responsibilities & duties:
• Obtain accurate and complete information from end-users to identify their needs and problems and develop responses and solutions.
• Understand, interpret, explain and apply detailed, specialized information, including codes, rules, policies, procedures, forms, specialized municipal terms and technical documentation in carrying out job assignments accurately and efficiently.
• Providing updates, status and completion information to management regarding all assigned incidents, requests, and projects
• Providing consultative support to management and end users directly related to general business operations, software systems, technical assistance and training to system users.
• Identifies areas of security risk, determines risk level and assists with efforts to mitigate those risks to an acceptable level.
• Ensure maintained applications are delivered using best Security Practices

• Methods and techniques for the installation and configuration of hardware, software and network connectivity
• Methods and techniques for customer service and troubleshooting to determine causes of computer hardware and software problems and device errors and failures.
• Standard business software, including word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, graphics and database programs.
• Basic IT security standards
