ING is looking for people who can use their analytical power to help colleagues decide with whom ING should (not) do business. You‘ll join a team of about 70 colleagues ensuring that ING is offering services and products only to ethical companies. Something for you?

How are you contributing to ING?
You play an essential role in ensuring the good reputation of ING. You help to decide with which clients ING can continue doing business!
When it comes to Financial Economic Crime (FEC) ING is adamant about having solid procedures with regards to Knowing Your Customer (KYC). You help detect and prevent FEC risks, such as money laundering or terrorist financing, by identifying and investigating potentially suspicious transaction patterns. Thanks to you, we are sure that ING’s banking systems are only used for ethical purposes.

Follow the money!
You track money flows by monitoring client activity and controlling patterns in customer behavior. You prevent existing customers from using our banking services for unethical purposes, such as money laundering and terrorist financing.
In practice this means you will:
• Handle signals, investigate and analyses post-transaction monitoring alerts
• Start preventive actions, based on the registered signals
• Draft investigation reports for the ING relationship manager and alert investigator
• Contact others in case of questions or missing information to assess the alert
• Participate in FEC-related projects
• Provide advice on how to adjust alert definitions

Personality requirements and skills

For who is this?
For people with real detective skills. You have a nose for the legitimacy of a customer relation, dare to question unusual patterns and, when needed, sound the alarm.

•You express yourself fluently in English (C1)
• BIG ADVANTAGE is knowledge of any of the following languages on B1/B2 level (ability to at least read and write: Russian/Ukrainian/Bulgarian/Romanian/Spanish/Italian/French.
• Your university degree or specialization allow you to make a sound analysis of key FEC risk exposure and informed risk-based decisions
• At least 1 year of relevant working experience from a bank or other relevant area
•You are analytical, strong in problem analysis and have an eye for detail
•You ideally have affinity with the main regulatory requirements for customer processes and customer data management
•You know how to communicate well and focus on the what is best for the customer
