Job description, responsibilities and duties

ING Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is looking for an Audit Supervisor in its Wholesale Banking audit team. Candidates should be able to work with high degree of autonomy in undertaking internal audits across region, with focus on Switzerland, France and Austria. Audits cover a broad range of areas including Compliance with Regulations, Lending Services, Payment processing, treasury, Risk Management and Finance. Good knowledge of one or more of these areas is considered as prerequisite.
The position is based in Bratislava.


• Leading and carrying out individual audit assignments; participating in planning, fieldwork and reporting stage of individual audits assigned.
• Developing an Audit Work Program and undertaking audit activities in accordance with methodology and the approved Audit Work Program.
• Executing individual audits by assessing the design and operating effectiveness of key controls.
• Assessing compliance with applicable laws, regulations and ING policies.
• Leading opening and closing meetings with audit clients.
• Identifying control deficiencies and evaluating the results of audit work performed. including substantiation of findings and performing of risk assessment on identified issues,
• Being responsible for performing of first level review to ensure audit work adequately supports audit conclusions and findings.
• Providing recommendations for improving controls and operating efficiency of processes,
• Communicating audit results to senior management.
• Preparing audit reports for individual audits.

As an Audit Supervisor, you will be based in Bratislava and you will work in an international team as part of the Wholesale Banking Audit Division. This division forms part of CAS, which is a highly professional organization with approximately 400 staff members worldwide. Together with your colleagues, you will provide audit coverage on Wholesale Banking globally.

Based on your experience/profile, the final financial conditions will be the subject to discuss and negotiate at the personal interview, however, not less than above mentioned minimum salary component.

Personality requirements and skills

• An University degree ( preferably Economics or Finance area)
• One or more audit qualifications ( CIA) are strongly preferred
• Relevant audit work experience within a financial institution
• Audit experience in wholesale banking field ( e.g. Compliance, Risk Management, Lending)
• Fluency in English. French language is considered as plus
• Strong analytical skills and ability to exercise professional skepticism
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Organizationally sensitive and effective in conflict management
• Capable of working in international teams remotely or onsite in a collaborative and effective manner
• Travel dependent on the assignments ( average is 6 up to max 12 weeks per year)
