Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

- To be a liaison to US parent company and work closely with the US accounting office
- Cooperate with our external accounting company responsible for our Slovak accounting
- Process monthly invoices, billings and payments
- Administer monthly closings and balance sheet reconciliations
- Record all financial transactions
- Oversee AR balances / collections
- Provide help to our partners with annual tax returns
- Process monthly payroll and payroll payments
- Prepare monthly reports for US parent company
- Prepare documentation for audit and cooperate with external auditors
- Communicate with government and public offices
- Make sure that at the end of the year Slovak and US accounting will be harmonized

We are open to have this position filled as full-time or 80% part-time.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards

1.500 € (minimum, salary range could be higher according to candidates qualification)

Requirements for the employee

Candidates with education suit the position

Secondary with school-leaving examination
Follow-up/Higher Professional Education
University education (Bachelor's degree)
University education (Master's degree)

Language skills

English - Upper intermediate (B2)

Number of years of experience


Personality requirements and skills

- Education in the area of accounting, finance or economics (preferably including Business Academy and at least Bachelor´s degree)
- Previous experience in accounting (Slovak or corporate) at least 3 years
- At least basic knowledge of Slovak accounting standards, you will be explaining accounting discrepancies to US colleagues, if you do not have a deep knowledge of Slovak accounting standards that’s not a problem, you will be consulting those with our external Slovak accountants
- Knowledge of USGaap will be a great advantage, if you don’t have it you will need just the motivation to learn it
- Advanced level of English language (min. B2, preferably C1 level) since you will be communicating with US colleagues a lot
- Strong communication skills, since you will be a contact point for both, US and Slovak accountants
- Ability to work independently and manage your own time since you´ll be the only person on this position
- Responsible and proactive approach to work
