Visual Merchandising Manager

ABOUT THE JOB

Lead and manage a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity co-workers and inspire and challenge them to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store.
Responsible for gathering and translating knowledge of people's needs and dreams in the local market into relevant and inspiring range presentation solutions that support a convenient shopping experience and re-flect the local needs of life at home.


Your tasks will include:

• Lead a team of Visual Merchandising/Activity Co-workers in creating relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solution that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet many in-dividual tastes and exceed visitor’s expectations.
• Provide strong leadership through being an example of the IKEA Culture & Values. Attract, develop, and inspire co-workers by realising the Human Resource Idea and together make IKEA a great place to work
• Secure a deep knowledge of all store media and clarify the main purpose of each medium, facilitate the transfer of specialist knowledge to all co-workers
• Develop and implement efficient and effective store communication, support self-choice and the me-chanical sales system
• Reflect the IKEA Brand identity and create visual impact in all commercial, sales support and co-worker areas
• Stimulate and increase the interest for home furnishing in order to grow the customer base and the market
• Ensure that all combinations and solutions are connected to everyday life at home, using of the right Store Media and display technique for presenting the Product Range
• Combine and present the IKEA home furnishing range in an exciting, vibrant and creative manner that inspires the customer and makes their buying decision easier

• Leadership skills, experience in leading a team
• Inspire and clarify
• Develop the business and deliver results
• Experience in visual merchandising
• Education in visual merchandising or industrial design
• Passion for and knowledge of home furnishing, visual merchandising, retailing and communication
• Creative and commercial visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics
• User knowledge of AutoCAD
• Active level of English language
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Flexibility, ability to work under pressure, time-management skills
