Tech Lead - Senior SW Developer

Your role and responsibilities
We are looking for a resourceful, motivated, and creative senior SW developer who will architecture, design, and implement client requirements and product features. You will lead more junior SW developers and will have a vast opportunity to grow your skills further. You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment and cooperate with several high performing teams.

You will be a member of our co-located DevOps delivery squad and will collaborate with multiple squads around the world. You will provide technical leadership to enhance and support a global Pricing application, which is critical to IBM’s business. Based on a number of inputs (incl AI), the application calculates the best price for the customer, while ensuring the optimal profit for IBM. Application with several thousand users (Business Partners, Pricers, and Sellers), 250k quotes processed per year with 40 billion revenue, is the place where you can grow your career further.


Responsibilities Include
• Leading the Software Development squads, software design and development, executing the software development process to ensure operational excellence and high-quality outcomes
• Defining the structures of solutions and architectures to address client business problems
• Understanding the client needs and business constraints, working in levels of abstraction, applying industry knowledge, and leveraging appropriate business elements and information technology to address those needs
• Identifying and implementing DevOps tools and practices for Continuous Integration, Builds and Monitoring of Solutions
• Monitoring system performance to identify and forecast performance bottlenecks and taking necessary steps to improve
• Documenting, reporting, escalating, triaging and resolving application/system issues
• Reviewing current system security measures, recommending and implementing enhancements

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Demonstrated experience (3y +) as an Application Architect / Technical Lead
Demonstrated experience (5y +) in back-end SW development (Java, Springboot, JVM languages, )
Demonstrated experience (5y +) in Web Services, Microservices, Rest API
Demonstrated experience (2y +) with Microservices, Containers, Kubernetes
Demonstrated experience (5y +) in Information Security (with a focus on Security, Performance and Reliability) within a cloud / cloud based / scaled environment
Demonstrated experience (5y +) of Architecture and Project/Program Delivery experience
Demonstrated experience with the front-end SW development (e.g. Angular/AngularJS)
Demonstrated experience in continuous integration and continuous delivery concepts and tools for scaled implementations of 30-50 microservices or more with integrated operations
Demonstrated experience in DevOps practices, process and technologies
Experience in Linux operating system

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
Experience in RedHat OpenShift
Experience in Test Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing
Experience in Agile and within a Scaled Framework
Strong collaboration skills: Working in teams, communication, documentation, organization
Ability to be flexible as to schedules and work assignments, including possible on-call duty for deployments or support
Experience in Pricing, Procurement and/or Fulfillment
Experience in IBM Cloud
Experience in Vulnerability and Penetrating Testing
