DevOps Professional

IBM is seeking a talented DevOps engineer to maintain, optimize and enhance infrastructure and SW deployment process for IBM Knowledge Center - an industry-leading information delivery mechanism. IBM Knowledge Center has already garnered the largest percentage of page views on ibm.com, receiving over 1M new visitors per week, over 5M page views a week, and 50M search requests per year. You will collaborate with Application Developers, Designers, Accessibility experts, Translation, and Product Management to craft and hone a new user interface and iconic experience.

Position Responsibilities:
• support high traffic web application, ensure throughput, redundancy and availability
• lead and support deployment cycles (15 days sprints)
• application code release management, configuration and automation
• implementing agile (incl. DevOps) deployment methods and seeking for improvements in process automation
• provide guidelines and oversee infrastructure changes (e.g. migration to cloud, …)

Technical Qualifications:
• hands on with CI/CD toolchains like Jenkins/Maven, Gradle
• practical knowledge of Linux / UNIX system administration skills
• experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, CVS, …)
• experience with automated testing tools (Selenium, JUnit/JMeter, … )
• experience with code deployment (e.g WebSphere, Apache, Tomcat, ...)
• scripting skills (e.g Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, NodeJS, Groovy, ...)
• solid problem-solving skills, willingness to contribute at all levels, strong technical skills,
• ability to multi-task, excellent work ethic and an ability to communicate effectively
• ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools
