Backend Web Developer - Cognitive Applications
Backend Web Developer - Cognitive ApplicationsAs a part of end-to-end development team, you will work for customers from various areas of IBM and your goal will be to make their work life easier and more productive by providing them with well designed web applications powered by various cognitive capabilities (IBM Cloud - AI services portfolio). Besides business as usual development activities, you are expected to became go to person regarding basic DB administration, basic system administration, API design and DevOps practices.
What do you need for your success?
-Bachelor's degree in tech. or business (or equivalent experience)
-Expertise in backend development (proficiency in at least one web development framework - preferably Node.js with Express, Basics of Linux administration, at least basic experience with PaaS(IBM Cloud, AWS EB, Google AE, MS Azure, Heroku...), basics of Database administration, API design and development)
-Experience with TDD/BDD
-Experience (not expertise - basic concepts are enough) in front end web development (HTML (HTML 5), CSS (Bootstrap is advantage), JavaScript (Jquery), Angular or React are advantage)
-Proven track record of accomplished projects (where you were in responsible for development of backend parts)
-Willingness to learn new technologies
-Fluent English
