International Assignments Financial Analyst

Job Description

We are offering position in finance/accounting area for motivated and dynamic candidate with good analytical skills who will enjoy work in international company.
Our team provides financial and accounting services linked with employees travelling to another IBM location for short- or long-term international assignments. Our mission is to ensure excellent client experience and financial integrity for assignees from Europe, Middle East and Africa, Latin America and Canada.

Position consists of:

•Managing portfolio of international assignees (validation of Tax Documents prepared by Tax provider, clarification with IBM Tax operations teams, Tax expense allocations)
•Performing financial analysis in area of international assignments, applying US GAAP, IFRS and IBM corporate accounting guidelines, preparing reports for senior management
•Cooperation with wider IBM community on assignment related questions – Human Resources, Chief Financial Officers, Finance and Planning
•Completing balance sheet account reconciliations, identifying and explaining monthly movements on assigned General Ledger accounts
•Driving open items resolution in challenging multicultural and diverse environment, cooperating with teams from various countries, demonstrating “Can Do” attitude
•Working with IBM systems and applications supporting assignee process (SAP, Intercompany Billing Tool, General Ledger, MS Excel)
•Supporting external and internal audit requests related to international assignments, preparing reports and analysis for auditors
•Leading process changes – proposing/implementing innovations that bring efficiencies

Candidates profile:
