Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

Responsible for assigned products/systems and being the point of contact for all electrical engineering matters during the entire project, supporting the internal project team across departments and for site team during erection and commissioning. Understanding of contractual requirements and building them into the technical specifications and ensure timely delivery to site meeting the projects requirements in terms of quality, budget, etc.
  • Basic working in COMOS software and Navisworks sofware (after training which will be organized by Employer)
  • Working in AutoCAD software
  • Basic working in PIRS - HZI internal management system used for communication and project documentation exchange (after training which will be
  • organized by Employer)
  • Full technical responsibility for the development and programming of PLC/DCS programs, based on electrical diagrams, process flow diagrams,
  • logic diagrams and process descriptions
  • Programming and commissioning of the plant control and operating system and visualization system
  • Designing and programming of SCADA Systems (e.g. WinCC)
  • Preparation of technical documentation within basic and detail design related PLC/DCS programming
  • Coaching and Training of EIC employees (HZIZ, HZIS, etc) in the area of PLC/DCS programming
  • Provide support and training to new members within their engineering group and other employees
  • Active collaboration with the EIC System Engineer, Process Engineers, and taking part in HZI internal project meetings
  • Verification of subcontractor design including
  • Cooperation in the development of cost-effective technical solutions
  • Responsibility for timely input data/specification for other project team members respecting project time schedule
  • Responsibility for documents (or files, and/or diagrams, etc…) used for later business process in HZI workflow
  • If necessary, then participation in preparation (and preparation itself) of technical part of Request for Quotation (RFQ) and PO (Purchase Order)
  • Support for site team during erection and installation
  • Site activities during start-up and commissioning
  • Cooperation with the project scheduler (defining of man hours, design input data submission, etc.)
  • Preparation of project technical documentation (technical descriptions, specifications, BOQs, etc.)
  • Close cooperation and exchange of experience with another employee
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, international and national standards, internal work regulations and directives
  • Regular reporting / inputs to the EIC Group Leader HZISK and to Manager of Engineering
  • Other not specified jobs related to Position of HZI Process Engineer EIC in general understanding

Personality requirements and skills

  • Experience in energy sector (Oil&Gas/Energy sector/Energy from Waste/Renewable Energies) - programming of plants
  • Knowledge in development and optimization of systems and specifications
  • Experience in collaborating with international and large project teams is an advantage
  • Trained electrician / electrical engineer (university degree), PLC technician or comparable with 4+ years of experience in PLC and SCADA
  • projects incl. commissioning on site
  • Solid experience with Siemens PLC or DCS (experiences with other manufactures desired)
  • Experience in OPC HMI/SCADA Software (WinCC, Classic and Unified Panels…)
  • Solid experience with CAE tools and MS Office
  • Autonomous person, willing to work in teams and able to anticipate next steps and potential issues
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent (minimum B2 level) in written and spoken English, any other language skills are an advantage
