Job description, responsibilities and duties
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct market research to identify core industry vs. countries, suppliers’ profile and dominant competence
- Analyse industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities
- Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models
- Develop and implement sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally
- Perform cost and scenario analysis and benchmarking
- Evaluate risks and apply risks minimizing techniques to select and develop suppliers
- Identify, visit, audit and qualify suppliers adequately selected for company needs
- Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.)
- Develop a supplier management program with key suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives
- Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the operational organization

Personality requirements and skills
- Master’s degree and proven work experience (5+ years) as a sourcing manager or strategic procurement manager preferably in Global market
- Familiar with sourcing, vendor management and BCC development
- Understand market dynamics and sound business judgement
- Strong project management and leadership skills
- Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
- Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data and relevant software
- Knowledge of Power Industry or similar categories
- Knowledge of the legal terminology and language related to supplier and/or vendor agreements and contracts
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
- Any additional languages are an asset
