The Software Developer will join an agile development team, focusing on building our next generation cloud-based architecture and platform. Right away you will be at the forefront of developing groundbreaking capabilities. We are looking for someone with a strong engineering background and experience developing fast, scalable and reliable services in a production environment.
In this position you will be responsible for developing, shipping and maintaining web services providing direct value to our customers.
What will you do:
- Analyze and develop front-end and backend models related to quantitative and qualitative workflows. Design and Develop algorithms and services that transform, evaluate, and integrate mass spectrometry data and associated metadata
- Design, implement, and maintain features in desktop-based products built using Microsoft .Net Framework and Windows Presentation Foundation
- Design and implement the frontend screens and Single Page applications using Typescript and Vue.js and Stencil.js frameworks in support of the future evolution of the existing customer workflows
- Work with field support in solving customer issues
- Deliver web applications and web components, deployable on various cloud and on premises deployment models.
- This is a hands-on development role, where you will be spending majority of your time on crafting, coding, unit and integration testing and supporting team members on technology, technical approach, project execution.
The role involves interaction and joint work with software system architects, mass spectrometer scientist and engineering teams and with broader software community within Thermo Fisher Scientific.
