Job Description
IT Software License Compliance Administrator is responsible for calculating the client’s software license compliance status based on software license right to use, software license agreements, software maintenance agreements and software installations for the set of in scope software titles per client.

The role must be familiar with software asset management fundamentals:
o What is license
o What is rights to use (RTU)
o What is license contract (IPLA, EULA, ETLA)
o What is maintenance contract
o What is software installation
o Have some basic understanding of how various license types used for – e.g. per computer, per installation, per CPU, PRVU, RVU, subscription, etc.
o Have basic understanding of virtualization software (Hyper-V, VMWare, Citrix)
o Have basic understanding of hardware configuration of servers & computers

Your role:
• Creates and modifies compliance calculation for software titles per client in the appropriate repository (Asset Manager) that correctly reflects appropriate parameters of the license type
• Researches upgrade and downgrade parameters that impact client rights to use when creating or modifying compliance calculation in the given toolset
• Provides expertise in ensuring that software license contracts and agreements, software licenses and software installations and associated linkages are reflected correctly in the IT asset repository. (understands restrictions of the toolset used and is able to propose work-around in order to accommodate any specific vendor licensing)
• Provides expertise to ensure that software license records are linked to the correct hardware device.
• Based on input from customer and HP license compliance status reviews, identifies required modifications compliance calculation.
• Supports client SAM implementation activities
• Supports analysis of new or modified software agreement and maintenance contracts and identifies impact to existing licenses/compliance measurement.

Job Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, related field or equivalent work experience in IT support area or SW license management
• Typically 3+ years of relevant experience
• Have background in Microsoft licensing – Windows svr, SQL, Microsoft client SW products
• Good knowledge of MS tools – Excel, Access, and SharePoint
• Good English fluency + German at least inter-mediate level
• Strong communication skills
• SAP licensing understanding is a big benefit
