Job description, responsibilities and duties

A unique opportunity for a senior professional, preferably with regional experience, to take on the leadership role with functional responsibility.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• manage the identified and exploited synergies between different divisions and different functions e.g. purchasing, logistic, product centers, production
• manage, support in design and ensure the introduction of uniform standards in the international procurement quality management, in order to establish quality and cost-effective processes and tools workflows according to the principle of "best practice"
• manage, support to develop and introduce systems and methods of advanced quality planning in accordance with the Hella/customer requirements in the procurement processes and support of project teams
• ensure the effectiveness of the global supplier audit system, in terms of scheduling, qualification of auditors and implementation. Manage, plan, execute and supervise system audits, process audits and product audits.
• continuous improvement of the Hella supplier base including the release of new suppliers according to the commodity strategy and business needs
• monitor the quality of purchased parts and services, detect quality and systemic problems. Arrange and/or initiate corrective measures and check the effectiveness of these, in order to achieve the "zero defect goal"
• ensure the handling of purchased part and services complaints and coordinate the complaint management in order to realize the highest possible delivery quality.
• manage and coordinate the development and supervision of suppliers considering the material group strategy and business needs.
• define the supplier quality targets in the region according to Hella/customer requirements.
• ensure proper communication and regular information to management and the related divisions about quality indicators and trends as well as quality costs in the context of purchased parts
Material Group Specialist Advanced Technologies :
• You are located at the HELLA location in Trencin (Slovakia) to ensure the purchase parts quality and to support the quality management of purchased parts at the suppliers within the commodity Advanced Technologies
• You have to handle for Hella new technologies and further develop Start-Up companies or non-automotive suppliers
• Within the frame of supplier selection you assess the supplier capability
• You develop existing suppliers further by considering new and increasing demands
• Furthermore you escalate relevant quality problems on Management level
• You plan and carry out potential analysis and process audits (VDA 6.3)

Personality requirements and skills

• You have a completed degree in Physics, Electronics, Microsystems, production and process engineering
• Several years of experience within the area of production of electronical components, electronical and/or lighting technical components are preferable. Detailed knowledge in different production processes is necessary
• Good knowledge in Quality Management as well as certified VDA 6.3 Auditor are preferable
• Good English knowledge completes your profile
