Job description, responsibilities and duties
For our client, we are looking for an experienced Senior Fullstack Engineer with an exceptional command over both frontend and backend development technologies. As a pivotal member of the engineering cohort, the person will be entrusted with the task of architecting, developing, and maintaining robust e-commerce solutions that embody excellence in user experience. This role offers an unparalleled opportunity to work on an evolving market with a direct impact on customers.
Key Accountabilities:
• Fullstack Engineering, with a strong focus on both frontend and backend development.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and implement new features and functionalities.
• Development of responsive web applications in frontend technologies including vanilla JavaScript, HTML, CSS, jQuery, and Ajax other JS libraries/plugins.
• Working on legacy PHP & frontend systems.
• Working on projects both as an architect and as a coder.
• Optimize performance and ensure scalability of the e-commerce platform.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure seamless operation of our platform.
• You have previously worked with gitlab, git, Jenkins, github actions & familiar with CI/CD pipeline optimization & deployment workflows.
• Debug but also creates robust applications.
• Automation, qualitative development ensuring high test coverage & type checked code.
• Follow coding principles like YAGNI, KISS, SOLID, DRY during development & code reviews while advocating for high coding standards.

Personality requirements and skills
• Proficiency in backend development using PHP frameworks like Laravel and Symphony, with experience in OXID shop system/similar e-commerce shop system is a plus.
• Experience working on legacy PHP & frontend systems.
• Experience with template engines: v6 of Oxid with Smarty and v7 with Twig is preferred but not limited to.
• Experience with microservices/micro-frontend architecture and preferably carried out migrations from monolith to micro-frontend/microservices.
• Adeptness in thriving within a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Familiar with agile methodologies & scrum processes
• You are a team player with profound sense of responsibility, ownership & love to mentor other engineers.
• Good communication skills in English written and spoken (B2+)
