Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Manage European team of field technicians, project manager and sales people, partially shared with ….. these people are spread across Europe.
• Cooperate with global filler suppliers to ensure legal compliance, service and quality standards are met.
• Drive the new research and development activities for meeting the market trends in the packaging machinery industry.
• Close cooperation with customers as fillers show different degrees of customization.
• Provide innovation ideas and concept to the global organisation and actively participate in the execution.
• Extensive travelling required.
• Listen to customers and prospects, identify and understand points of pain and provide proposals that reflect solutions based on value-selling strategies.
• Present customized or other viable proposals for new system opportunities.
• Build long term relationships with new and existing accounts.
• Close sales, finalize contracts and effectively work with Sales, Marketing, Operations & Service teams to ensure
client satisfaction.
• Work in close interaction with the larger ……. organisation and the European operations.
• This position is a member of the extended European leadership team.
• Responsible for coordinating filler sales and after sales. As well as engaging in project management in close cooperation with customers and sourcing.
• Whereas, fillers are made abroad by internal suppliers, but some refurbishment capacity exists in Europe.
• Furthermore, he/she will participate in developing and deploying a global and European filler machine commercial strategy, which includes technical standards for Filling Machine Equipment ensuring the company provides the highest levels of quality and service to all customers worldwide.

Personality requirements and skills

• Technical education preferred but not required (engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing., MSc or equivalent)).
• 3-5 years of technical sales experience of filling equipment or other technical equipment.
• Proven track record of sales success and growth.
• Project management experience background of advantage.
• English language skill level - fluent.
• Strong customer focus.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to lead remotely and to connect and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders.
