Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

• Develop a direct material strategy in close collaboration with Supply Chain, Sales and aligns with the plants continuously on implementation and roll-out
• Execute purchasing activities under the given framework of the categories’ strategies and purchasing processes mainly focusing but not limited to “direct material” related raw material and its services required
• Continuously analyse the board types, services market and evaluates opportunities and synergies
• Decide on the appropriate sourcing strategy in agreement with the group supply manager and the respective sales and plant managers
• Continuously search for ways to create more manoeuvring space in a monopolistic and oligopolistic market by showing of new approaches how to get independent from the board suppliers under the umbrella of the end customers specification
• Manage tenders for purchasing according to the defined corporate standard
• To be the first purchasing contact for the internal requester / Supply Chain / Plant / Operation departments, but mainly for sales to support and lead End customer Sales Tender from the supply side
• Coordinate internal meetings in preparation, conduction and follow up of actions with the internal requesters
• Prepare and conduct supplier meetings as well as meeting reports and follows up the actions deriving from those meetings
• Negotiate prices as well as terms and conditions with incumbent / new suppliers
• Implement the purchasing processes and standards, mainly focusing on the source to purchase process, where creating contracts and SLA agreements ensures contractual solid document binding agreements with the suppliers on price, validity and all relevant SC KPIs
• Approve / reject invoices as 2nd approver in the invoicing workflow
• Manage the implementation of supplier optimization programs in line with quality department and operational plant requirement
