Náplň práce, právomoci a zodpovednosti

This role reports to Finance Director of GroupM Slovakia

​In this role, your goals will be:

In three months:

  • Understanding of media industry
  • Get familiar with GroupM forecasting and reporting process
  • Get familiar with clients portfolio and knowledge of commercial metrics
  • Understand GroupM financial reporting formations and overall forecasting and reporting processes
  • Get grasp of SOX company handbook

In six months:

  • Prepare financial reporting requirements proactively with focus to drive and lead the forecasting and reporting process
  • Understand company finance policy and procedure
  • Proactively drive changes to processes needed to maintain groups Green Sox status
  • Build trust and close collaboration with various functions and global/regional headquarters

In 12 months:

  • Lead financial reporting schedules such as actual month closing, rolling forecast, budget planning
  • Deploy controls and compliance in place complying with company policy and procedure
  • Respond timely and professionally for the requirements from field operation (media agencies) and from region
  • Manage all kind of agenda with regards to accounting, finance, audit & taxation
  • Further optimize forecasting and reporting framework and process
  • Support senior leadership team with strategic thinking, financial tracking and business case analysis

Responsibility of this role:

  • Build the management reporting and forecasting framework to provide meaningful financial and operational metrics that will help drive decision-making.
  • Support leadership team through ongoing analysis, recommendations and presentations.
  • Lead transformation activities linked to finance function.
  • Financial forecast accuracy is important and should be precise vs. actual.
  • Rebuild the current process within the framework given by network, implement financial planning and reporting processes to support the continued growth and expansion.
  • Lead the annual budgeting and periodical forecasting with clear guidance, solid assumption and effective communication with key stakeholders.
  • Play an important role in business case analysis to prioritize investment
  • Work in close collaboration with Specialists and Finance functions to ensure resources are aligned with plan and strategic imperatives.
  • Partner with accounting and Finance Controller to implement procedures, systems and automated reporting to enhance business and operational efficiency.
  • Responsible for team covering administration of media buying and billing cycle
  • SOX compliance with focus on Net sales, working jointly with Finance Controller to adjust processes to SOX handbook requirements to maintain groups Green status towards SOX regular reviews

Osobnostné predpoklady a zručnosti


  • At least 5+ years relevant experience, 2+ years on management position.
  • Bachelor+ degree in Accounting/Finance or related field, ACCA preferred.
  • Experience in Big Four a big plus.
  • Deep experience in budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning within an agile and matrix organization
  • Talent development and management skill requirement.
  • Excellent computer skills (e.g. MS Excel, Word, etc.), experience with reporting system design and implementation
  • Multi-national company experience in a fast-growing, large volume and high complexity environment.
  • Ability to work across business functions with strong consensus building skills to move a strategy forward
  • Excellent ability to quickly grasp the company’s operation and business drivers, and will possess a high degree of integrity and independence
  • Intellectual capacity to gather information, analyse and rapidly make decisions and recommendations dealing with all functions in a complex and multi-faceted business is essential
  • Must have the business maturity and confidence to make recommendations and influence stakeholders that these, while not always popular, are in the best interest of the company and its vision for the future
  • Experience working in a matrix organization with responsibilities of national markets
  • High flexibility/ambiguity, ability to handle multiple tasks, solution and result oriented
  • Advanced English language skills both written and verbal
