Tour Guide Manager /Coach

We seek candidates for the following position:

Tour Guide Manager/Coach
(Bratislava, Slovakia)

The successful candidate will be responsible for an international team of tour guides leading senior Americans on their travels through Europe. The main responsibilities would be:

• Managing our day-to-day program operations to achieve quality goals to deliver an excellent travel experience for our travelers
• Hiring/Training/Scheduling/Coaching/Managing Performance of a team of Tour Guides to meet company’s guidelines to achieve excellence goals. The Tour Guides are what makes the difference to the experience of our passengers and sets us apart from our competition.
• Creating a strong high performing Tour Guides team that exemplifies the company’s culture and values and team spirit
• Ability to drive performance in a fast paced environment and work under pressure
• Effectively participating with travelers on site to support Tour Guides and obtain live feedback from passengers
• Doing all the administration work necessary in relation to the program services operations for the program. This includes the preparation and checking of each Tour Guide’s Accounting Package per tour
• Emergency support and driving resolutions of operations/customer issues
• Working alongside the team to reach goals and achieve excellence targets from our passenger surveys.
• Regular “Ride Along” participation: Involves joining a group on the cruise to monitor & help our Program Directors be the best they can be for our passengers.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time and willingness to invest in longer work hours
• Location: Bratislava office (after training possibility to occasionally work from home)
 
The selected candidate should possess:

• Proven and effective management experience (Minimum 3 years), travel industry experience is a big plus
• Excellent interpersonal / communication and problem solving skills
• Excellent command of written and spoken English language (Company official language: English)
• Ability to prioritize key actions to achieve goals
• Demonstrated success in making tough decisions and taking risks
• Ability to implement performance driven strategy on product quality
• Proficient in Excel, Word, Power point and Microsoft outlook
• Proficient in navigating multiple platforms used by the team
