Granarolo S.p.A. is a food company in Italy, founded in 1957 and based in Bologna. It operates in the fresh milk and dairy-cheese sector (milk, yoghurt, desserts, fresh cream and long-life cream, fresh and aged cheeses, and milk-based baby food), dry pasta, deli meats and vegetable foods.
Granarolo S.p.A. has 23 production sites (14 located throughout Italy and 9 production plants abroad).

The Granarolo Group is therefore the most important Italian dairy chain, directly owned by producers associated in cooperatives. In fact, it includes more than 600 dairy farmers, 96 trucks collecting milk from the farm, 840.000 tons of milk processed every day, 580 vehicles daily serving around 50 thousand points of sale, where 20 million Italian households buy their Granarolo products.

The Group's mission abroad is to export the tradition of Made in Italy products.
The Group applies external quality controls carried out by qualified international certification bodies and guaranteed by the International Food Standard (IFS), the British Retail Consortium (BRC) and the EU Organic Food Certification (CCPB). Since 2002, the production process has been certified according to the ISO 9001 quality management system.
