Information about the position
Job description, responsibilities and duties
- provide remote support for VMWare Cloud Foundation environments (24/7 - shifting working time)
- monitor clients backup/storage machines
- explain the meaning of events and incidents
- regular analyze VMWare monitoring and operational solutions, processes, and procedures for possible blind spots
- change implementation
- strong customer-centric mindset
- escalation unresolved issues to another internal teams
- participation in on-call duties
- ensure effective communication to customer stakeholders
- prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
- prepare reports and documentation, ensure the proper process is followed and documentation is properly maintained
- daily performance monitoring of back-end infrastructure
- cooperate with management to resolve issues
- insure that events have been handled appropriately and can be closed
- stay up to date on the latest technologies
- ensure the use of the highest safety standards in maintenance and implementation

- proven experience in providing, configuring, and maintaining VMWare Cloud Foundation services
- extensive hands-on experience with virtual technologies to include VMWare ESX/ESXi, vSphere, VMotion, VCenter, DRS, HA, SRM,NSX,VSAN, VROps, and VRA.
- VMware administration support & management
- experience troubleshooting and tuning VMware ESXi hosts/servers.
- experience with Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) tools such as Nagios
- nice to have: network supporting experience, Veeam administration support & management, DevOps experience, knowledge and experience with scripting languages
