Job description, responsibilities and duties
To extend our client´s existing Unix/Linux Engineering team, we are looking to fill the position of a DevOps Engineer with focus on the existing BigData Cluster based on Hadoop
Tasks:
• Implementing, managing and administering the overall BigData infrastructure
• Management and review log files
• Monitoring the cluster connectivity and performance
• Performance tuning and implementation of changes in close cooperation with data engineers and developers
• Integration of new tools
Requirements:
• Excellent knowledge of UNIX/LINUX OS
• Good hold of shell scripting
• Knowledge of core java
• Hands-on experience with big data components and frameworks (preferably within the Hadoop ecosystem) would be a plus
• Knowledge of high degree configuration management and automation tools
• Knowledge of cluster monitoring tools
• Experience in other distributed system components, such as Solr, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Kafka, REST API, etc. is a plus
• Good English skills, German would be a plus, but is not required
