Information about the position

Job description, responsibilities and duties

The senior accountant will ensure all the task related to local accounting for the Branches in Slovakia and Hungary according to the internal processes and due terms.

He/She is responsible to define, together with the Regional Finance Officer, efficient and compliant workflows to guarantee high quality for the transactions an processes within Accounting. Will perform analysis and reporting for internal and external audiences (Accounting management, Group Accounting, statutory auditors and local fiscal authorities).

Key responsibilities

• Provides data for asset accounting tasks (e.g. asset activations, asset disposal, asset transfer, asset reclassifications)
• Ensures all necessary operation for the closing of the month/half-year/year in SAP (according to Romanian Standards in accounting and financial reporting) in accordance with the reporting of AMOS SE Munich
• Fulfillment of the general accounting /bookkeeping
• Participation at the preparation of monthly/quarterly and year end closing (IFRS/HGB) in accordance with the AMOS SE reporting calendars;

• Check the accounting of suppliers for correct cost booking – process outsourced
• Reconciliation of the accounts balances for customer, suppliers, bank, assets etc.
• Preparing mandatory tax/fiscal report for Slovak authorities;
• Monitors the accounting of tangible and intangible assets ( process managed globally by central accounting)

• Ensures payment and collection in due time of invoices and issuing invoices of AMOS branches (Slovakia and Hungary) to the companies within the Group and third parties
• Gives support to Reginal Financial Officer for all aspects related to accounting and fiscal processes;
• Active contribution in improving and implementing local operation processes and workflows
• Preparing different reports for the Management

Other duties:
• The ability to work individually and manage specific problems in the corporate environment
• Excellent knowledge of fiscal and accounting legislation both for Slovakia and Hungary
• The ability to advise the management of the company in accordance with the local legislation requirements and with the requirements of the Group in terms of reporting and accounting
• Checks the payroll calculations and provides the correct amounts and accounts for SAP bookings
• Managing receivables: works in collaboration with the local Financial Controlling to insure the accurate revenue of the two branches ( SAP invoicing)
• Responsible for all deficiencies resulted following the developments of his/her activity, as a result of garnishments decisions
• Respects all circulars/decisions, methodological norms and working procedures, Internal Regulation, Compliance Policy and Anticorruption Policy of the Company
• Supports the preparation of all documents that belong to the quality management system (procedures, instructions etc.)related to accounting processes

Personality requirements and skills

Required Education:
• Good knowledge of Local Accounting Standards both for Slovakia and Hungary, IFRS and regulatory reporting;
• University degree in accounting, economics, or finance;
• Fluent in English and Hungarian, good communication skills;
Required Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles (experience in Hungarian Accounting Regulations is a plus)
• Good experience with SAP FI accounting systems;
Skills:
• Strong analytical skills;
• Self managed profile, able to organize the accounting tasks in order to meet the terms related to monthly/quarterly and yearly FI closings and fulfill all fiscal
• Team player with strong interpersonal, intercultural, communication and organizational skills;
• Attention to detail with ability to think in processes and ensure deliverables are connected with operating plans;
• Strong ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize tasks to meet deadlines;
• Self-motivated and proven “can do” attitude.
