Global Category Manager

Job description, responsibilities and duties

1. Perform category management for GPV Group companies including strategic sourcing, new product introduction, supplier relationship management, contract, cost reduction performance and risk management in the electronic categories.

2. Work with head of purchasing, customer team lead buyer and site operative buyer, in understanding the customer requirement, global spend and identifying opportunities to improve value for money, increase quality, delivery and reliability with highest possible speed.

3. Identify innovative procurement solutions that provide cashable savings for the organization.

4. Facilitate in new product introduction for the organization together with Group Design and Engineering team.

5. Assist team members in the global sourcing and in the procurement function located in all the GPV sites in fulfilling competitive prices for customers inquiries.

6. Maintain contractual and a strong business relationships with vendors.

7. Facilitate implementation of procurement initiatives within sub-categories to improve business performance.

8. Develop and maintain expert knowledge of respective global supply markets, competitors and product innovations.

9. Address vendor issues to ensure the highest level of service delivery.

10. Leading escalations for quality, delivery or contractual claims with vendors.
