Salary

From 2 300 EUR/monthThis is a legal monthly minimum required to be stated by the Slovak law. Offered salary varies based on relevant experience and skills. Plus: Annual Salary Bonus based on individual & company performance.

Your role

You will be responsible for verifying and improving data quality and assisting the business and development teams in implementing data processing and reporting. You will participate in daily stand-ups, story groomings, and sessions for new projects and features that are on the table. As a Data Quality Analyst, you will primarily report to your Technical Lead.

You will become familiar with data engineering ETL processes and tools, advanced data queries and more, which makes this position a perfect entry-level job for data engineer or data analyst career path.

You will:
  • Perform statistical verification on large datasets to evaluate data quality and integrity.
  • Prepare data quality and impact analysis and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders (development team, data analysts, managers).
  • Collaborate with data engineers to improve data ingestion and transformation processes.
  • Run data queries to identify coding issues and data exceptions.
  • Document data transformation processes.
  • Define business acceptance criteria and specification to cover story.
  • Prepare test data based on third party data focusing to cover possible edge cases and data quality issues.
  • Understand technology of the features you will participate on, so that you can efficiently test each part of ETL process.
  • Help determine the root cause of issues, be able to resolve testing issues and drive issues to closure.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Statistics, Mathematics  or equivalent foreign education and experience accepted; alternatively, significant experience in the field can be assumed as proper substitute.
  • At least 2 years of relevant data QA or data analyst experience.
  • Ability to make decisions about data quality results.
  • Natural curiosity joined with attention to detail and precision.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Analytical view of task with emphasis on context of testing target and ability to see the impact of quality beyond testing.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts verbally and in writing to colleagues with varying degrees of analytical knowledge and understanding.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL language.
  • Experience with continuous integration/delivery and understanding of software development life cycle is a strong plus.
  • Written and spoken communication skills in English; (B2 category).
