Job description, responsibilities and duties
A Technical Writer is required for assistance to our Technical External Documentation department. Our new employee will be working in a small team at our location in Presov and be part of a dynamic and professional R&D team in Slovakia, Italy and Denmark.
Your main tasks will be …
• Preparation and maintenance of technical manuals, spare parts catalogues, operator-, and service instructions in English.
• Ensuring that operator- and service manuals/instructions comply with EU directives and other standards.
• Creating technical illustrations by means of graphics software 2D/3D.
• Creating and maintaining instruction videos and animations.
• Internal research for product information.
• Defining technical descriptions and spare parts in cooperation with colleagues from the R&D and Customer Support departments situated in Slovakia and Denmark.
• Requisition and maintenance of translations of user documentation.
• Assisting R&D in requisition and of translations of software strings.
• Updating of document databases.
• Maintaining the corporate website.

You have an open-minded, extrovert and proactive personality and you are not afraid of confronting your very busy colleagues in the R&D department in-house and abroad if you have technical questions or other issues you need to solve. You are willing to travel when the job calls for it, which might be often when a project is close to release.
You have a natural flair of adapting to new tools and working methods. You are experienced in working with publication layout as well as 2D/3D illustrations/animations. You understand basic XML, HTML and CMS and the need of structuring content for reuse, translations, easy maintenance and cost reduction.
