Job description, responsibilities and duties

We are searching for an APU Manager to become a new valuable member for automotive company Garrett Advancing Motion in Zaborske. We would like to offer you unique opportunity to collaborate on our join success.

  • monitor competences for his/her team and develop its autonomy (training plan building, follow-up & training actions implementation)
  • ensure working standards are respected in the APU during the operations (safety, work instructions, quality, respect of the product)
  • ensure that standards of reaction are applied with rigor and perform escalation according to standards.
  • lead daily, weekly & monthly meetings, and organize delegation
  • be responsible for customer satisfaction. Be accountable for SPQDCI performance and profitability of his/her APU, in terms of targets achievement, and improvement
  • ensure optimal use of equipment (OEE) and people (OPE/UPH)
  • assign & check Corrective and Preventive actions on recurring problems within APU and Plant support departments
  • maintain process capability and equipment gage R&R in conjunction with Process Quality
  • define/implement spec book for new equipment or specific operating supplies/tools/ spares
  • maintain and improve process controls for Quality and productivity
  • lead daily APU RPS (Safety, Quality, Direct Labor efficiency, Maintenance)
  • manage the budget of his/her APU and allocates the appropriate resources in respect with the budget perimeter. Implement necessary corrective actions for compliance

Personality requirements and skills

  • university degree in Engineering required
  • minimum of 3 years experience in industry, preferably in the automotive sector in similar position
  • demonstrated experience to efficiently plan, organize and lead a production operation team (unit)
  • experience of managing a budget with a good understanding of key financial principles
  • excellent planning & organizing skills with experience of prioritising, coordinating multiple activities meeting multiple deadlines related to the shopfloor
  • excellent problem solving skills with experience of developing & implementing solutions to diverse operational related issues
  • good understanding of financial controls & budgetary responsibilities with experience of managing a large project or departmental budget
  • excellent analytical skills with experience of evaluating complex requirements & determining required actions
