Job description, responsibilities and duties

The main aim of this role is to secure that all hydraulic systems, sub-systems and components across the infrastructure are functional, meet the requirements and enable performance of the technology during tests and during operation in real conditions. Hydraulic engineer is responsible for designing hydraulic systems and ensuring that all the hydraulic components will work as per the expected purpose. The hydraulic engineer responsibilities include dealing with the control and flow of fluids, especially water, gases and liquid chemicals, using the fluid mechanics theory and principles to deal with the problems related to storage, collection, transportation, control, regulation, etc. He/she generally uses software programs related to hydrologic modeling and data analysis to make his/her work easier.

• Technical leadership in his field of expertise
• Design of hydraulic circuits, selection of components and systems
• Design, build and test of prototype equipment; debugging new systems
• Prepare of the test requests for new systems; Generate a test report with relevant parameters, results and recommendations
• Innovating based on customer and industry requirements
• Supervise the work of junior hydraulic engineers
• Generate design reports; information needed for the Independent Verification Bodies
• Generate concept models and drawings (layouts, assemblies, detail, P&ID, client etc)
• Generate procedures
• Mathematical analysis of problems
• Co-ordinating subcontractors
• Advising on ordering of equipment for new tools and development work
• Lead design reviews
• Maintain design files & related documentation
• Provide support and mentoring to junior staff members
• Complete of the technical and project documentation
