At Freudenberg Filtration Technologies (FFT), you will shape a global filtration product portfolio at the intersection of technology, innovation, and market needs. You will own specifications, steer lifecycle decisions, and help bring competitive solutions to market worldwide. Whether you are building on early professional experience or already bring a strong technical product background, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership and grow into a global product management position. You support our team as a Global Technical Product Manager (f/m/d).

Responsibilities

  • Own: Define and continuously improve global core product specifications and selected regional standards.
  • Drive: Manage technical product decisions across the lifecycle, from launch to optimization and phase-out.
  • Innovate: Translate market and business needs into development requirements and support cross-functional execution.
  • Optimize: Improve performance, cost, and competitiveness through product enhancements and value engineering.
  • Support: Provide technical expertise for product releases, complex issues, complaints, and customer inquiries.
  • Shape: Contribute technical insight, benchmarking, and roadmap input to strengthen portfolio strategy.
  • Ensure: Coordinate certifications, test reports, and technical documentation for global market readiness.
  • Collaborate: Partner with engineering, production, sales, quality, purchasing, marketing, and global technical teams.

Minimum education required

University education (Master's degree)

Personality requirements and skills


Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD degree in chemical engineering, process engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Initial professional experience in product management, R&D, engineering, or a comparable technical environment (this can include internships, PhD research, or early career roles).
  • Exposure to managing or contributing to technical products, development projects, or innovation topics.
  • Interest in working across the full product lifecycle, from concept to market and continuous improvement.
  • Solid understanding of technical concepts and documentation.
  • Fluent English skills.

  • Experience in filtration, industrial manufacturing, or technical product management, and experience working in cross-functional or international environments.
  • Technical Judgment: You translate complex requirements into clear product specifications and make sound technical decisions, with the support of experienced colleagues where needed.
