Operating as part of the Global HR team, the HR Reporting manager is responsible for managing the Firm’s HR Reporting, analytics and data requirements.

They will create and implement the HR reporting roadmap and provide leadership, support and direction to the HR reporting team.

This is a hands-on role where they will be the ‘Subject Matter Expert’ for Workday and HR reporting.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

People Leadership

  • Manage a small team of Workday Reporting and Data Analysts, responsible for delivering our reporting strategy through their day-to-day work

  • Design and implement a team training plan to ensure that the required level of system knowledge and skills are in place across the team

  • Ensure continuous improvement and learning to remain aligned with the Firm’s needs

Workday Reporting

  • Work with the HR Leadership Team, regional Business Partner’s and Centres of Expertise to understand the business challenges and how the data available can support early identification of people risks and how these can be mitigated

  • Create and manage a reporting strategy and roadmap including the delivery of self-service reporting and appropriate dashboards within Workday

  • Design, deployment and maintenance of Workday dashboards and reports to ensure quality, current, accurate and complete data produced as a result

  • Gather requirements for necessary changes based on business needs

  • End-to-end development of complex Workday reports and dashboards, including matrix and composite reports and nested calculated fields

  • Oversee the development and creation of reports and perform testing activities based on the scope of the report and dashboards; investigate root cause of data discrepancies, accessibility issues and technical issues related report and dashboard; discuss and agree on resolutions with appropriate data owners

  • Deliver dashboard capability across the firm and functions driving data availability and self-service and reducing the volume of ad hoc requests;

  • Work alongside internal teams and external suppliers to ensure that ongoing support is provided to ensure systems are maintained and monitored.  Ensure robust working practices are in place that track work requests effectively.

  • Implement maintenance schedule for reports and dashboards in Workday retiring unused reports as needed.

  • Gather requirements and work with the business on solutions/options for reports and dashboards

  • Drive self-service adoption

Data Quality and process improvement

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the business and functions to drive data quality

  • Ensure processes and data handling follow our Data Security & Privacy policies and guidelines

  • Identify improvement opportunities, research new functionality and ideas, and recommend solutions as appropriate; keep up to date on latest best practices and technological discoveries to be adopted/replicated

Key requirements

Essential

  • Experience in Workday reporting, including strong technical skills in report writing, advanced calculated fields, data sources, security and dashboard creation and maintenance

  • High level of  team management experience, with the ability to coach individual team members and lead a high performing team.

  • Proven ability to deliver work through others and lead the team through change.

  • Solution oriented attitude that focuses on continuous improvement; ability to diagnose issues and clearly articulate solutions

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to successfully influence stakeholders

  • Takes the initiative on driving projects and change

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deploy resources to deliver successful resolution;

  • Experience in demonstrating how technology can support a business function/ process.

  • Exceptional level of attention to detail

  • Flexible, willing to be ‘hands on’ so that workloads are managed. A strong working knowledge of HR systems, functions, processes, and advanced reporting environment

  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; familiarity with advanced spreadsheets, pivot tables, formulas, and data visualization; ability to learn new software and technologies as needed
