Senior Treasury Analyst

Minimum Monthly Salary: 2300 EUR

Role summary/purpose of job

The overall remit of the Group Treasury team is responsibility for the management of the firm's global, multi-million pound, banking and treasury operations and the day-to-day multi-currency cash management and funding arrangements.

The firm manages funding requirements on a centralised basis and Group Treasury is responsible for ensuring cash investment and borrowing is organised and maintained on an efficient basis, minimising exposure to underlying risk.

The role of the Senior Treasury Analyst is to support the Group Treasury Manager in all aspects of Treasury operations, including:
- Assist with all aspects of cash flow in the UK and across the network
- Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions
- Determine current, short term and long-term cash requirements / surpluses worldwide and within each office and transfer, invest or borrow funds accordingly
- Engage in relationships with the firm's banks and other financial service providers
- Management of the foreign currency

Key responsibilities and deliverables

• Manage and supervise the cash flow in the U.K. and across the network and report on balances to senior management.

• Forecast daily cash requirements and execute daily financing decisions.

• Ensure accurate maintenance of bank account, Treasury systems and bank cost information.

• Work with the cashiers team to ensure sufficient funds available at all times.

• Prepare weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts for the firm by liaising with regions across the world.

• Record bank transactions and perform monthly bank reconciliations.

• Manage the execution and settlement of FX trading on behalf of the firm.

• Work with the Group Treasury Manager on ad hoc Treasury tasks including strategy papers, Treasury Policy and process notes.

• Administration of banking and fx trading platforms.

• Support the banking relationships; attend bank meetings and act as point of contact for the relationship managers.

• Assist with KYC activities, sanctions issues and internal and external audits.

Key requirements

Essential

• Experience in a Treasury environment.

• Educated to degree level in a numerical subject (or equivalent).

• Desire to study towards a professional qualification (preferably AMCT or ACCA/CIMA).

• Expertise in Excel, operating financial systems and banking systems.

• Experience of Liquidity management for a global organization, in particular cash pooling arrangements.

• Ability to gain a good overview as well as being prepared to get involved in the detail.

• Confident when communicating with staff and management at all levels.

• Numerate, methodical and proactive.

• Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all aspects of output.

• Friendly, outgoing, social personality.

• Must be a team player.
