Would you like to create an exciting technology and work with other enthusiastic developers?

Bratislava-based FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s.r.o. belongs to the Austrian FREQUENTIS group (www.frequentis.com), specialized in mission-critical communication and IT solutions, e.g. in air traffic control, public safety or defense.

Your next project - Unmanned Traffic Management:
FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s.r.o. works with our parent company FREQUENTIS in a task force for new business development. Currently that task force represents FREQUENTIS in SESAR (https://www.sesarju.eu), a group that coordinates R&D activities around the Single European Sky initiative. As part of that initiative, we are participating in multiple R&D projects focused on challenges drones pose to air traffic management. These challenges include for example private drones interfering with commercial air traffic, smaller commercial drones used for parcel delivery and an anticipated shift from manned aircrafts to unmanned aircrafts in commercial aviation. Also, in some of our other business domains we see the need to adapt to and integrate drones, for example to increase the situational awareness of public safety control room operators (police, ambulance and fire agencies).
We use modern technologies and approaches:
  • Kubernetes
  • cloud-ready development (Azure)
  • messaging protocols and tools (ActiveMQ)
  • shared service memory (Redis)

Your main tasks in the project will be:
• Work closely with our requirements engineers
• Participate in overall software design
• Self-reliant design, development and integration of software modules
• Self-reliant integration with third party applications, including the required communication with our partners and other industry players
• Participation in conferences, European research projects, demo and integration workshops

Who We Are Looking For?
We are looking for a talented Software Developer; a team player who can work self-reliantly and independently, who likes to stay ahead of the challenges commercial and private drones pose to air traffic controllers around the world.
