Purchasing / Supply Chain Manager for Safety Automation Systems in Nuclear Power Plants

Your role

In your role as Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible of the supply chain process within Framatome Controls s. r. o. in compliance with the project management process, supplier monitoring and performance assessment in collaboration with project competences center.

The main missions of the supply chain manager consists of following tasks. He/she:
  • In cooperation with the Project Manager prepares the procurement plan, keeps it up to date and ensures its proper execution in compliance with customer requirements;
  • Is responsible for procurement management (identification of suppliers, preparation of the call for tenders, negotiation of the purchase order under the project mandate);
  • Is responsible for procurement cost planning and project cost review in the scope of external workload and hardware;
  • Is in charge of procurement cost management, reporting and follow up (progress, recommendations, amendments, cash, early warnings, claims, etc.);
  • Is in charge of project communication towards suppliers, monthly progress points, daily monitoring of orders, risk management, identification of weak signals and implementation corrective actions under the supervision of the project manager;
  • Is responsible for management of procurement contracts (ensuring compliance with contractual obligations between suppliers and Framatome, negotiating amendments, drafting contractual letters, preparing and negotiating any claims / counter-claims, etc.);
  • Defines and ensures the follow up of operational and contractual goals for quality, cost and deadlines of project procurement;
  • Ensures the proper implementation of "Gate Reviews" at key stages of the order preparation in order to minimize the purchase orders risks;
  • Is responsible for the Lessons Learned in the scope of procurement management, follow up, assessment, archiving and management of the database of best practices.

Your profile

  • Technical Engineer degree
  • Experienced generalist engineer (minimum 5 years of experience)
  • Knowledge of project management
  • Experience in technical purchasing or project management
  • Legal knowledge
  • Experience in tracking orders (negotiation, transfer of ordering, change management, contract mail, claims management, etc.)
  • Languages: Fluent English. German is a plus
